The Samull Classroom Herb Garden Grants | Deadline: October 1, 2025 | Award Amount: $500

  • In 2026, the Herb Society of America will award 15 grants to schools for planting, expanding or improving an herb garden. The grant now awards $500 for the purchase of supplies such as soil, plants, and gardening tools.
  • Eligibility at a glance: Schools or community organizations with at least 10 students in grades K-6

Rooted in Justice | Deadline: October 2, 2025 | Award Amount: $25k

  • Rooted in Justice supports community-based organizations and groups that manage established, youth-led, urban greening programs within a justice framework as a core part of their work, with two-year grants of $25,000/year.
  • Eligibility at a glance: Organizations in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Washington, D.C.

Waterwise Garden Grant | Deadline: October 3, 2025 |  Award Amount: Up to $2,250 in funding and an irrigation supply kit

      • The Waterwise Garden Grant supports public and charter schools planning to teach about water conservation, water stewardship, and responsible water management through gardening. In 2026, twenty-five elementary schools and/or middle schools will be awarded. 
      • Eligibility at a glance: Public or charter elementary or middle school (K-8th grades) located in the United States or U.S. territories that works with at least 15 youth

Bee Grants | Deadline: October 15, 2025 | Award Amount: $1,500 or an indoor observation hive

    • These grant programs allow for schools and non-profit organizations to receive support for educational beehives and bee programming so students can observe bees up close and learn about the vital role these pollinators play in our food system.
    • Eligibility at a glance: K-12 schools or nonprofits that serve at least 10 students in grades K-12 in the U.S. or Canada

Lorrie Otto Seeds for Education Grant | Deadline: November 15, 2025 | Award Amount: $100-$500

  • The Lorrie Otto Seeds for Education grant program advances Wild Ones’ mission to spread awareness of the benefits of using native plants by providing grants ranging from $100 to $500 for native plant gardens and landscaping projects throughout the United States. The funds are designated for acquiring native plants and seeds for outdoor learning areas that engage youth (preschool to high school) directly in planning, planting and caring for native plant gardens.
  • Eligibility at a glance: All public and private schools, non-profits such as nature centers, youth organizations, and community youth centers in the US

ALDI Community Gift Card Program | Deadline: November 30, 2025 | 
Award Amount: $100-$1k gift cards

  • The ALDI Community Gift Card program offers gifts valued between $100 and $1,000 to qualified nonprofits and schools committed to supporting after-school and out-of-school youth programs. This initiative also extends to food banks and pantries seeking to purchase essential products. Whether your mission focuses on youth development or addressing food insecurity in your community, we invite you to apply for support.

Bonnie Plants 3rd Grade Cabbage Program | Deadline: December 1, 2025 | Award Amount: $1,000

    • Each year, Bonnie sends more than one million “oversized” cabbage plants to 3rd Grade classrooms across the country. At the end of the season, teachers from each participating class select the student who has grown the “best” cabbage, based on size and appearance. The program then awards $1,000 to one student in each participating state.
    • Eligibility at a glance: Southern 3rd grade classrooms in the US (for the fall order window)

USDA Farm to School Grants | Deadline: December 5, 2025
Award Amount: $100k-$500k

  • The Patrick Leahy Farm to School Grant Program is designed to increase the availability of local foods in Child Nutrition Program (CNP) operations and connect students to the sources of their food through education, taste tests, school gardens, field trips, and local food sourcing for CNP meals. Grants can be used to launch new farm to CNP programs or expand existing efforts. 
  • Eligibility at a glance: Nonprofits, Child Nutrition Program operators, state and local agencies, agricultural producers, and Indian Tribal organizations in the US

Daily Grant Program | Rolling Deadline | Award Amount: Up to $500

  • The Pollination Project seeks to unleash goodness and uplift volunteers all over the world. To that end, each year through our pioneering Daily Grant program, we make 365 microgrants of up to $500 each. These grants are designed to kickstart a volunteer’s or grassroots organization’s work and give them the lift their project needs to thrive and grow.
  • Eligibility at a glance: Individuals, groups, and startup not-for-profit organizations based anywhere in the world as long as the work is volunteer-led

Walmart Local Community Grants | Deadline: Rolling | Award Amount: $250-$5K gift cards

  • Each year, Walmart U.S. stores, Sam’s Clubs and Distribution Centers award local cash grants ranging from $250 to $5000. These local grants are designed to address the unique needs of the communities where we operate.

Fundraiser: High Mowing Organic Seeds | Deadline: Rolling | Award Amount: 50%+ profit on every sale

  • Are you planning a fundraiser for your school or non-profit? Selling seeds is a great way to integrate fundraising with lesson plans about sustainability, biology, economy and/or gardening and agriculture. In addition to a wide selection of individual seed packets, we also offer a variety of thoughtfully curated boxed collections

Karma for Cara Microgrants | Deadline: Rolling | Award Amount: $250 to $1k

  • K4C helps young citizen leaders execute and magnify their initiatives to help repair our world. Students 18 years of age and under may apply for funds between $250 and $1,000 to complete service projects in their communities throughout the United States. Applications can be submitted at any time but are reviewed quarterly following these deadlines: January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, and October 1st.
